Garden Farm – Mixed Livestock Farm near Matlock, Derbyshire | Garden Farm is in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales about 2 miles from Matlock. We believe it’s a great example of how farmers can grow food as well as support the community, protect our food heritage and conserve wildlife.

Careful planning keeps our farm’s carbon footprint small. A 57 year old Ferguson tractor and Alfie our Percheron provide the power we need around the farm.

Keep your own virtual pig!

You’d love to rear your own pigs but don’t have the space, well, join our Organic Virtual Pig Keeper Scheme, let us rear them for you and visit when you like. At £46 per month for 6 months that’s great value rare breed pork.

Food glorious food

We’re here to provide you with wonderful, natural organically grown food. You can buy our produce online or by visiting the farm. We also have stalls at the Matlock or Wirksworth Farmers Market.

Events

We run a number of open days, events and courses throughout the year. Our Annual Festival will be on Saturday 15 September 2012.

Accomodation

We have a comfortable Shepherd’s Hut available for stays on the Farm. Check availability and book through our website.

Our farm is available as a reception venue, with barn and/or marquee. We offer food sourced direct from our fields and from local suppliers.

Welcome to Garden Farm, near Matlock in the Peak District

Garden Farm is in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales about 2 miles from Matlock. We believe it’s a great example of how farmers can grow food as well as support the community, protect our food heritage and conserve wildlife. On our 48 hectares we keep mainly rare-breed farm animals, which we grow to sell as meat. To use the jargon, it is a mixed livestock farm.

We have a some farm pets too, including four very friendly goats called Holly, Ivy, Rosy and Posy that we milk, and four a farmyard geese called Buster that provides us with wonderful big eggs.
